Nursery's Blog

Archive for March 2013

For homework this week please will all children have a go at making an Easter bonnet for our parade which will take place on Thursday. Bonnets can be as simple as a straw hat covered in ribbons, Easter chicks, eggs etc or as fancy as you wish! Let your imaginatins run wild and please allow the children to express ther own ideas and help as much as possible.

Parents are encouraged to come and watch the Easter Bonnet Parade at 9am on Thursday 28th March in the infant playground.

Part-time afternoon children are welcome to attend the morning session (8.45am – 11.45am) on Thursday 28th instead of the afternoon. This is so they can take part in the Easter Bonnet Parade and also to ensure they meet their entitlement of 15 hours a week.

Just to remind you – school finishes at 2pm on Thursday 28th March for Easter, and reopens on Tuesday 16th April.

World Book Day was last Thursday and we had a nursery full of different story book characters! There were several Spidermen, a few beautiful Disney princesses, The Incredible Hulk, Dorothy, a witch, a pirate, 2 Woodys, Angelina Ballerina, Sportacus and 2 Little Red Riding Hoods to name but a few! We were very impressed with the effort everyone had put into their costumes. The winner of the book token was Lena who was dressed as a duck. Here are some pictures:
