Nursery's Blog

The children had a wonderful time on the visit to Mount Pleasant Farm on Monday.  They got to meet lots of farm animals and were able to help with jobs around the farm such as feeding the hens and collecting the eggs.  Everyone learnt a lot about life on the farm and caring for animals.  The children’s behaviour was excellent and the teachers were all very proud of them. Here’s some pictures of what they got up to:

Well Done to Dayna who was awarded the pupil of the week certificate and a weekend with Billy Bear.  Dayna always does the right thing and tries hard at nursery.

We have had a great week learning all about pets.  We had visits from ‘Little Rabbit’ who is Joshua’s giant rabbit, Miss Sheppard’s three-legged cat ‘Louis’, Daniella’s guinea pig ‘Rhino’ and Beau’s cat ‘Bandit’.  The children really enjoyed learning about and stroking the animals and they were all very well behaved!

Also we need to say a big ‘Well Done’ to Katie.  Katie’s excellent behaviour and hard work has earned her the certificate of the week and she has taken Billy Bear home for the weekend.

What a busy week! Thank you to everyone who came to our Stay and Play sessions and Teddy Bears’ Picnic during the last week before half term.

The children really enjoyed having their parents and family members at nursery and it was lovely seeing parents and children working side by side on a range of activities.

We also had a great time at the Teddy Bears’ Picnic despite the awful weather! We were amazed at the huge turnout and it was lovely to see so many family members taking part.  We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent in food and drinks for the picnic  – it all went down really well!
